The Disaster Management Programme's food distribution approach centres on providing dry food items (such as flour, rice, sugar, cereals, oil, and salt) based on the specific needs of the affected population. The distribution strategy is tailored to the local situation, considering the actual nutritional necessities of the people and their ability to obtain food, while ensuring their micronutrient requirements are not compromised.
